These two love birds, Krystle + Alex, celebrated their union on November 12th, 2016. Originally they were planning to tie the knot a year prior, but our groom had to travel overseas, as he proudly serves for our country in the Marine Corps! Plans can change when you serve in the military, therefore the wedding had to be put on hold. Over a year later we received a phone call, and to our excitement it was Krystle + Alex. The couple surprised us by asking if we could still help make their wedding dreams come true again, except there was a catch…the reception was ONE MONTH AWAY! With pleasure we started planning and designing immediately.
Our dearest couple eloped a few months prior, but still wanted to throw a big party for not only themselves, but for their closest friends and family! We promised to give them a proper cocktail hour and reception, so we did just that! The cocktail hour and reception was held at Beau Rivage Country Club. While the guests mingled during cocktail hour, Krystle and Alex had their first look together, as well as a first look at the fully adorned ballroom.
In just one month we helped Krystle and Alex pull off a very memorable event by collaborating and coordinating with a handful of wonderful vendors who also jumped on board with just one month to execute as well! The tables were decorated with alternating large trumpet vases and small gold brushed centerpieces with white and blush blooms and a dash of eucalyptus, designed by Pink Blooms Florist. The sweet heart table was framed with a lush floral garland, garden roses, and hydrangea. The blush pink long stemmed candle holders, glass votives, table numbers, and gold scalloped chargers provided by us here at Design A Dream Events perfectly complimented the arrangements. Remember, it’s all about the details that bring a vision to life!
Nevertheless, the most remarkable and memorable moment was when Krystle + Alex saw the memorial table honoring Krystle’s late brother. Her parents arranged this very touching detail as a surprise to Krystle that truly warmed everyone’s hearts and brought us all to tears during their first look of the space!
After this intimate moment, the guests made their way into the reception space to find their seats. The couple made their entrance to the rhythm of “Suit & Tie” followed by a sweet first dance, a tasty dinner, and beautiful speeches. Active DJ Entertainment kept the guests dancing while others enjoyed the Photo Booth by KMI Photography.
Later into the night we watch Krystle and Alex have the most fun with their cake cutting as they smashed cake into each others faces. They truly had a blast! The cake, made by Imaginary Cakes, was a classic white butter cream frosting embellished with florals.
The night ended with a timeless sparkler send-off, and a wave goodbye to their family and friends as they hopped into a stunning classic car provided by Carolina Classic Car Rentals.
It was the perfect day wedding to end our wedding season with! All the vendors were moved by this couple’s story and did everything they could to make their day amazing! We know you will enjoy the pictures taken by the talented Susie Linquist Photography, who beautifully captured every single moment. Don't forget to check out their sweet video at the end provided by KMI Photography!
